  • Almeria building site – rescue of two abandoned podencos

    Bev Neo Dallas building site 250 10 2013These two podencos were abandoned on a building site in Almeria. Appeals went round and Bev Farmer of Podenco Friends said she would have room – as 4 dogs were leaving to go to their forever homes. But Almeria is a long drive from Alicante so she arranged with the young rescuer to meet up part way.

    Bev says. ‘Early start tomorrow after making sure our four are safely on their way on the transport taking them to their forever homes. Then we will be driving down to Almeria to get these 2 Podencos left abandoned in a construction site.’

    Bev and Warren got the two podencos safely back to home base. Here’s what Bev writes about their rescuer.

  • Mojacar, Almeria – accommodation wanted

    Paws Patas puppies 250 8 2013The nightmare for volunteers in Spain working in dog and cat rescue. How does one cope with this sort of pressure? Paw-Patas – 32 puppies, 3 adult dogs dumped in 14 days. The only positive is that they were dumped at the shelter.
