This is an appeal for a foster or, even better, a forever home for Podenco Passe in Fuengirola, Spain. Maybe his name doesn’t help, he is ‘passed’ over in favour of other dogs in the shelter. Here’s his story.
He is in a kennel in Fuengarola, Costa Del Sol, Spain. Stacey from 4forpaws adoption took him in as he was being attacked by a Boxer Dog and got badly injured. But that was over 2 years ago and he has been in the kennel now ever since then. He is a lovely looking dog.

Introducing Bambi, a 1 year old male podenco who had been hit by a car and suffered traumatic blindness and shock. Do you remember the story of Ana, the podenca near Valencia, with a badly injured hind leg and who was so distrustful of humans that it took nearly 3 months to catch her. During that time she had some pups – who are in foster – and is now safe with 112carlotagalgos.
Ana’s problems were not over after she was caught. Vet Paco examined her injured leg and pronounced it too damaged to repair, then she caught an infection, and now she has had to have surgery to remove her leg. But not to worry, 3-legged amputees can run as fast as 4-legged if they want to! Charl tells Ana’s story so far.
This is an appeal from Happy Endings Final Feliz in Chiclana near Cadiz. Last winter friends of mine spent a couple of months there helping the association with abandoned dogs and looking after them. They came back with two puppies which had been born to an abandoned podenca; now named Oliver and Nancy, the puppies are benefiting from being in a home environment, although Nancy continues to be nervous of strangers.
Fabi is another such young dog, whose mother was a Podenca. Karen takes up his story.
