  • Seprona on the war path in Cadiz – hindering, not helping!

    Happy Endings Chiclana 250Happy Ending Final-Feliz in Chiclana, Cadiz, have had their problems in the past, with authorities being awkward! All the charity want to do is help the abandoned dogs in the area, get them off the streets, look after them, rehome them. Something the authorities should do.

    Now, on 18th February, there’s this news from the association. And it’s not the first time I received a report of Seprona putting pressure on the people doing their job!

    ‘PLEASE SHARE THIS POST! WE NEEDYOUR HELP! It has been an eventful week down at the kennels. We have had a visit from Seprona (Servicio de Protección de la Naturaleza – OR – Nature Protection Services). They have informed us that, unknown to us we are not complying with certain regulations laid down by the authorities.

  • Happy Ending-Final Feliz Photo Competition – closing dated 31st March 2012

    Happy Endings Chiclana 250Happy Ending-Final Feliz is a dog rescue shelter near Chiclana, Cadiz, in southern Spain. It was started by a Norwegian lady, Margarita, and her loyal band of supporters fundraise to pay for the keep of the dogs they rescue and look after. Their current fundraiser is a Photo Competition. Here’s the link to the details, scroll down the page. Closing date for entries is 31st March and there are 3 categories. Entries are only 2 euros each, so get sending your photos in and help boost their funds.

  • Happy Endings Final Feliz – Fabi waits with them for a forever home

    Fabi 1 Eva Happy Ends 250 1 1 2012This is an appeal from Happy Endings Final Feliz in Chiclana near Cadiz. Last winter friends of mine spent a couple of months there helping the association with abandoned dogs and looking after them. They came back with two puppies which had been born to an abandoned podenca; now named Oliver and Nancy, the puppies are benefiting from being in a home environment, although Nancy continues to be nervous of strangers.

    Fabi is another such young dog, whose mother was a Podenca. Karen takes up his story.

    ‘He’s been waiting for nearly a year for someone to take him into their heart. He’s around 3 years old and is a very sweet dog.
