This is Lara, a little Podenco Andaluz found abandoned and ill. She was rescued by an English couple who contacted SOS Animals. She’s now recovered and living happily in her forever home in the UK. Poor dogs. They try their best for their masters – and mistresses – and are rewarded by being dumped – anywhere – busy roads, down wells, on the campo with broken legs, in the killing stations. Killing stations – barking dogs, stressed dogs, some of the worst perreras don’t believe in feeding dogs to be killed, water is green – I’ve the reports and photos on my weblogs. ‘All my life I have wanted a dog, but work and travel commitments prevented me from doing so. When we moved to Spain I decided the time was right and fate must have heard me say so, because we spotted an advert in our local paper for podenco puppies available mid January (2009), just in time for my birthday!

Buddies on the streets of Cordoba – please help them
This is the story of two buddies, a collie and a podenca. The collie has spent months wandering around an area of Cordoba. Recently he’s been joined by this little podenca. No one wants them, everyone walks buy, occasionally someone throws them a crust.
They are young and don’t deserve this life. Can anyone find room to take them in? They both deserve a chance.
