This is an appeal from Happy Endings Final Feliz in Chiclana near Cadiz. Last winter friends of mine spent a couple of months there helping the association with abandoned dogs and looking after them. They came back with two puppies which had been born to an abandoned podenca; now named Oliver and Nancy, the puppies are benefiting from being in a home environment, although Nancy continues to be nervous of strangers.

Fabi is another such young dog, whose mother was a Podenca. Karen takes up his story.
