Podenca Peaches waiting and waiting forever
Podenca Peaches is a Spanishdeathrowdogz dog, rescued from the kill list in a perrera‘It’s me! Peaches, why does nobody love me enough to share their home with me? I’m a lovely sweet girl who has had a horrible past, when the ladies found me I had a huge hernia, I was in a lot of pain, but now I’m fine, I just need that elusive home. I’m a sweet, friendly girl, in fact I quite like men, very unusual here in Spain. I’ve been waiting for such a long time for my furever home, I wonder if it’s ever going to come. Please share so lots of people see me, it only takes one person to fall in love with me and my life could be changed in an instant. I will come with an adoption contract, passport, spayed and vaccinated. What’s not to love?’
Contact Lynn Judge if you have room in your home and heart for her.

The sacrifice of dogs when they are not used for hunting continues to be an extended practice in some areas of Spain. An example of this is the investigation being carried out by the Civil Guard in Tierra de Barros (Badajoz), which has opened proceedings against 12 residents of the region for the killing of 46 dogs .The Benemérita, who has brought the proceedings brought to justice, accuses these people of a crime of animal abuse. Among those investigated, there is a veterinary doctor from the region of La Paz, who is also charged with a crime of documentary falsification, as reported by the Civil Guard .
First inquiries – The case was uncovered with the finding of a dog corpse next to a bag of bones

Podenco Balu with Ann’s Canine Care, Malaga – still waiting and waiting
From Ann.‘It really saddens me that for 2yrs Balu is still with me looking for his forever home. He was offered a home in early February, but this was on condition of a house sale which hasn’t happened. So if you wouldn’t mind, I really need your help to share him for me His best friend Muttley is going to his forever home next week so he’s going to feel a bit lost without him. Balu is such a good dog and deserves so much better. Currently in Southern Spain, but can travel. Totally prepared for adoption, and healthy.’

Podenca Eire – saved from hanging!
From Salvemos PodencosThis is our princess Eire. Eire is a podenquita about 1 year old and 6-7 pounds of weight. She was alone for a while roaming the campo, we were asked to help to rescue this little girl. Wee suspect she may have been hung because she has a huge wound that cuts her all the neck. Of course we took care of her. She has suffered a lot despite how little she is, she looks so helpless that she gave us her soul and is a love.
We urgently need foster homes in Barcelona and adoptions. There are many podencos we have in our office. And several podencos that we have without sponsors 60 e /month in the kennels for each dog, plus expenses of vets, transport….., we ask you not to be indifferent to our request and for little that you can help us save lives. Eire has no sponsors so she needs some until she finds a foster home or adoption.
She deserves a chance!Tel. (SPAIN) 696489981
