Podencos amongst the dogs rescued from horrendous conditions.
This is the current state of the river running by Scooby Medina shelter. Many animals live out – horses, donkeys, sheep, goats.

These 2 small podencos are with Refugio Kimba in Cadiz, hoping for forever homes.
Contact Refugio Kimba to find more about them if you have room in your home and heart for one.

Pronto is a 9 year old black Podenco x languishing in the SARA shelter on Lanzarote. Lola in the middle above is 12 years old. It’s a very hard life for hunting dogs in the Canary Islands and their only hope of forever homes is on mainland Europe. They are 2 of a dozen beautiful podencos who are the ‘invisible’ ones on Lanzarote, most only 2 or 3 years old. Don’t let them spend all their lives in a shelter.. Click down this weblink to see them all. Pictures below.
f you would like to know more about Pronto or any of the other podencos, contact SARA Protectora direct, please call the telephone number: +34 928 173 417 from 10:30 to 13:00. Thank you.

Read all about Pancho on this weblink. He;s been in foster and kennels for 16 months. At 8 years old he really deserves his forever home. We adopted 8 year old podenca Rosie and have never regretted it; she is loyal and loving and still at 12 years old very active on walks.
If you have room in your home and heart for deserving Pancho, please contact SOS Podenco Rescue direct.

Pray for the thousands of galgos which will be abandoned today – in perreras, in the campo, in towns…starving, sick, injured…and for the volunteers who work tirelessly to help them.
