This is a lovely story of rescue and the lengths people will go to help hounds. From Ibizan Hound Rescue.
‘ONE YEAR ON’
The lockdown litter, Lady and Lola and pups
Many people who follow IHR on facebook will remember the wonderful story of two dogs who found their way into the motor home of British couple Sarah and Darren who were travelling around Spain last year (2020) only to be stranded due to the first lockdown.
Sarah and Darren named the two female Podencos Lady and Lola and soon discovered that Lady was pregnant.
In April 2020 Lady gave birth to 8 healthy pups and all 10 dogs were cared for by Sarah and Darren in their motor home until we could help and in June they came to Ibizan Hound Rescue. Their story even appeared in local news.
All 8 pups (4 sets of twins) were snapped up straight away and went to their wonderful forever homes a short while after.
Super mum Lady and Lola ( believed to be Lady’s daughter from another litter) took a little while longer to find their forever homes but at long last we are so happy to report fantastic happy ever afters.
Massive thank you to all involved in their rescue with special thanks to Sarah and Darren and of course the forever homes mums and dads.’
