Friends for life

I wish you many lazy days
Just lying in the sun
I wish you lots of special times
And always lots of fun.
I hope when you are tired
You have your favourite rug
And when you or I are lying down
We’ll always share a hug.
I want you to be content
And never need to roam.
And know that when we come back in
You’re so glad to be home.
I wish you only good things
No hardship or a slog,
For you deserve all this and more,
You’re such a lovely dog.
