I’m always sceptical of a person who gets involved with an animal rescue association and goes full on with volunteering, fundraising, getting involved with the running of the refuge…goes overboard in fact. Generally, they disappear in the same way – puff, often leaving a bad taste in the mouth on discovering they haven’t been totally honest.

Such a situation has happened recently and, sadly, it’s the refuge which suffers, the dogs which miss out…

I’ll never understand people. Give me animals any day!
