Ellen Dobson – running 11/09/2011 for the podencos – sponsor/donate
Ellen Dobson is fundraising for animal rescue. She’s just become a fan of podencos, which is great, as she is now including SOS Animals in the recipients of her efforts, who work with a Spanish shelter to rehome podencos in the UK.
Ellen will be running the Nottingham (UK) Half-Marathon on Sunday 11th Spetember 2011. If you would like to sponsor her for podencos, click here.

Podenco X Batman, finding forever in the UK
This is a lovely rehoming story about Batman, a podenco x german shepherd, who found his forever home in the UK with Catherine Morton.
‘I adopted Batman, a GSD x Podenco from SOS Animals (www.sos-animals.org.uk) on 8th December 2010. I saw his picture and appeal for a home on a sighthound forum and was totally smitten.
He had been in a Spanish Shelter (SOS Animals) for 6 years and was being given a chance at finding a home in the UK. He made the 48 hour journey, along with another 14 dogs who were fortunate enough to find homes in the UK and I travelled to finally meet him with 2 of my existing dogs. Luckily they got on like a house on fire so home he came.
