Huesca is a small city in north eastern Spain, in the province of Aragon. It’s not a province with galgo hunting, rather hunting with podencos. If you don’t know the podenco breed, then read all about them, and the different types, on Podenco Post.
Like the galgos, podencos are not a breed which are often adopted by the Spanish but, also like the galgos, they make fabulous companion dogs. There are dozens of them in the Perrera of Huesca, waiting to find out what life has in store for them. The photos are on Facebook, for those of you who use Facebook The person to contact at the perrera is the vet, joseabarca@internacionalplayers.comand the person you have to talk to if you want to know something about the dogs and if you want to reserve any. There are a lot of podencos there who need help. Here are somebetween 6 – 12 months old.
