You may remember I reported a situation in Mogan, Gran Canaria, where about 90 podencos were incarcerated in metal cages in a remote valley. Yesterday a team of volunteers and members of the municipality went to the site to take the dogs. They found the cages empty, frightened podencos roaming around the valley. Here’s the story as posted on facebook. I’ve asked for a ‘polite’ letter in Spanish for us to send to the Mayor of Mogan to encourage him to search for the owner of the dogs and prosecute him. Will run the campaign when I receive it.
