As regular readers know, I remind people about the podencos on the Canary Islands who have a terrible life with the hunters and whose main chance of a forever home is on mainland Europe. Here’s a heartbreaking story about a shelter on Tenerife. Please help if you can.

The new piece of land has been found, but is not ready yet to receive the many animals!! And now the council of Adeje announced a few days ago, that the property where they still are, has to be cleared before the 8th December!! (supposedly for promoting the place with hotels) and that the 89 dogs will be put to sleep if they are still there on that date!
