    NEWS STORY FROM GPAR – Pluto the Podenco!

    Pluto has had a very bad time. He was a street dog in Rute for over a year and no one was able to get near enough to him to catch him. It was unfortunately an accident he had with a car, that enabled GPAR to rescue him, take him to the vet for treatment and then to the refuge where he has been since Feb this year.

    The accident caused injury to his right paw which is now sightly deformed but he can walk on it although he will need to have another operation and he is waiting to have this.

  • Podenca murdered in Motril – the citizens of Granada protest

    So many of the Spanish hate the treatment of hunting dogs by the galgueros and gitanos and here is another example of the outrage they feel. Podenca murdered in Motril

    We want justice and that our complaint does not fall on deaf ears. For this reason, have organized a protest at the gates of the Government delegation in Granada on Saturday 25 May at 12 in the morning.

  • Podenca on the streets of Granada – Urgent – anyone room for her?

    Granada podenca 190 2 2013This is a female podenca living on the streets of Loja, Granada. She had a companion, a labrador, but someone has taken him and he is now in kennels. But the podenco is so afraid that she has not been caught. Next weekend she is going to be darted but after that there is nowhere for her to go. Hass anyone any room, please, or donate to pay kennel fees until adoption. Contact Adela (she speaks English)
