Podenca Andaluz come in 3 sizes, small, medium and large. My podenca Bebe is a miniature – weighing in at a mere 6 kilos aged 10 years. She was rescued injured and traumatized from a Seville motorway over 4 years ago by my friend Marisa, a volunteer with El Refugio Escuela. My vet operated on her leg and saved it and she is now the fastest little dynamite on 4 legs! The only time we see a handicap with her leg is when she goes down stairs – she carries her left leg.
